Sistema is looking for a AI Engineer with our government client based in Austin, TX for a 1 year position.

The Information Technology Division requests a short term staff augmentation to support critical artificial intelligence initiatives. The requested AI/ML Engineer will supplement existing staff capacity and provide specialized expertise necessary to meet accelerated delivery timelines for multiple enterprise level priorities.

Simultaneously advancing four major objectives:
- Implementing an enterprise search solution to improve information retrieval across DPS systems.
- Deploying the AI inventory and monitoring system (Darwin).
- Developing and operationalizing various AI agents to improve internal efficiency and public‑facing services.
- Establishing and enforcing AI governance to ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and statewide technology policies.
